Water and Sanitation Project

Solomon Islands

Sanitation makes a difference.

Nearly half the population in the Solomon Islands practices open defecation – the highest among all Pacific Nations. Open defecation and a lack of sanitary hygiene causes the spread of diarrhoel diseases in the community, especially in children under the age of 5.

Capcity and Capability

Help the Anglican Church of Melanesia improve this situation by building new sanitation facilities for three of its communities.

The improvement in conditions will impact the communities, visitors, and the surrounding communities. As an on-the-ground project this will also strengthen the communities’ capacity and capability to plan, implement, manage, and operate together.

Give and make a difference today.
